While your pet is in quarantine, you'll be required to pay for kennel care. For instance, make sure that your dog can stand up and turn around comfortably while inside the carrier. In most cases, your dog will be housed in that carrier during the quarantine.

US Re-Importing Rules

Once you return to the states, you'll need to re-enter with your pet. This means that the US re-importing regulations will need to be adhered to. The CDC and the US Customs service both require proof of vaccinations. In addition, they also require a certificate of health for each pet you're traveling with. Your veterinarian will be able to provide you with that documentation.
